Summer Interns at CES, Inc.’s Maine Offices
BREWER – CES, Inc., a Maine-headquartered firm of engineers, environmental scientists, and land surveyors, is pleased to announce that Drew Greenlaw, Nate DeSisto, Wes Lamphear and Shannon Harty have joined CES to gain experience in the professional consulting industry as summer interns in our Brewer and Lewiston offices.
“We are excited to be able to expose students to the professional consulting world through paid internships during the summer,” said CES President and CEO Denis St. Peter. “These opportunities help students decide if their chosen career path is a good fit for them and in turn it also helps CES identify if the student will be brought on as a future full-time employee.”
Greenlaw is excited to join CES for his third summer internship after completing his junior year at the University of Maine where he studies Surveying Engineering Technology. Greenlaw is from Eastport and is a graduate of Shead High School. He is combining his education with hands-on experience by working alongside our Machias and Brewer team of surveyors on projects ranging from small residential surveys to complex construction layout.
Originally from Orono, DeSisto is entering his Junior year at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute studying Mechanical Engineering. He’s bringing the same enthusiasm that he does at WPI while working with other students to develop a sports shoe that may help reduce noncontact injuries to the ankle and knee. While based in CES’ Engineering Division, DeSisto will work across all areas of the company.
Originally from upstate New York, Lamphear is entering his Senior year at the University of Maine studying Civil and Environmental Engineering. While at the University, he has been active within ASCE and the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society. He will be working mainly within the Engineering Division but is hoping to gain experience in all areas of the company.
Harty joins CES’ Lewiston office this summer. She will be entering her sophomore year at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont this fall studying Environmental Science. She is active in the GreenUp Club.
