CES, Inc. Announces Employee Updates

BREWER, MAINE – CES, Inc., a Maine-based firm of engineers, environmental scientists, and land surveyors, is pleased to announce four hires and a recent promotion. John Kuchinski, PE, joins CES as Senior Project Engineer in our Saco office; Chelsea Cyr joins the Brewer office as Senior Project Assistant; and two 2018 University of Maine, Orono graduates, Jeffrey Weeks and Cody Lyons, are in the Survey and Engineering Divisions out of the Brewer office.  Chris Snowdeal, PE has been promoted to a Project Manager.


New Hires

A licensed Professional Engineer in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, Kuchinski comes to CES with over 30 years of experience in the design of large scale commercial, industrial, and residential land development projects. He will be assisting with our civil design projects and working to grow our site development work from the Saco office.


As Senior Administrative Assistant, Cyr will assist with office administration in Brewer, and will work with Project Managers to meet clients’ needs in a timely manner.  She is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Business Administration through Husson University’s online program.


Weeks, a native of Orrington, graduated in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Survey Engineering Technology, and a Minor in Construction in May. He joins CES as a Survey Technician.  He is a Licensed Surveyor In Training (LSIT) and will be working toward obtaining licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in the future as he builds more experience in the field.


Lyons joins the Engineering Division as a Structural Professional.  Growing up in Glenburn, he graduated in May with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.  Lyons will join CES’ growing Structural Division and will assist in designing framing and foundations for buildings and bridges as well as other miscellaneous structural tasks.



Snowdeal has nearly two decades of structural engineering work experience assisting clients with building and life safety code review, general structural/building analysis and design, construction document development and administration. In his new role, Snowdeal brings technical expertise and attention to detail to his clients, while ensuring that complex projects move forward. He is also a graduate from UMaine, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
