CES, Inc. Announces Interns for the Summer
BREWER, MAINE – CES, Inc., an engineering, environmental science and survey consulting firm has recently hired Drew Greenlaw, David Manzo, and Lucy Feeney to gain experience in the professional consulting industry as summer interns.
A native of Brewer, Feeney attends the University of Maine, Orono and is studying Civil/Environmental Engineering. She is expected to graduate in 2019. While at CES this summer, she will spend most of her time with the Engineering Division working on a variety of site development projects and learning about real-time situations that require solutions. She will also accompany field staff to obtain hands-on experience in working with other staff, providing for the needs of clients, and practicing safety protocol at all times.
Manzo, also a junior at the University of Maine studying Civil/Environmental Engineering, grew up in Hampden. He joins the Environmental Division for the summer, assisting in the office and in the field with a variety of projects ranging from infrastructure inspections, water quality monitoring, surveying, and construction oversight for development projects. The diversity that CES offers will provide Manzo with the opportunity to consider a broad scope of potential future career paths after his expected graduation in May 2019.
Joining CES for his second summer internship with the company, Greenlaw is a sophomore at the University of Maine working toward his bachelor’s degree in surveying. Greenlaw is from Eastport and is a graduate of Shead High School. He is translating his education to hands-on field work with the Machias team of surveyors from small residential surveys to larger boundary surveys such as over 10 miles of boundary along the Allagash Wilderness Waterway.
